Please do not use Superglue. As you have already found out, it doesn't last. Besides that, it will attack the acrylic and make it more difficult to fix the right way. While it's true that you can buy a denture repair kit in the drugstore or by mail order, there is one thing missing from the kit. Everything is in there except the experience to know how to use it right. The right way to do it is to make a hydrocal model inside the existing denture, being sure that the parts are in exactly the proper relationship to each other. (Hydrocal is available at a hardware store and is not included in the repair kit.) After the model hardens, remove the denture. Rout out the crack on the denture making an opening of about 3 mm. (Use a Dremel tool to do this.) Replace the denture on the model and mark the repair area lightly in pencil. Remove the denture from the model. Lubricate the model with a separating medium. Vaseline usually works well. Follow the package directions for use of the repair material, even though they will not be able to tell the best way to use the material. They tell you to mix powder and liquid and apply, but this way will leave voids. It's the best you can be expected to do, though. For a lasting repair, place the denture in a pressure pot and apply about 15 psi for the duration of the curing process. After the repair material hardens, grind off the excess with your Dremel tool. Smooth it down with rubber wheel abrasives. Polish to a high shine with a wet cotton rag wheel on a bench lathe using fine flour of pumice. If you don't own all of the above equipment, just omit the steps that require special equipment. You will never use it for anything but this denture repair and you wouldn't want to let it go to waste. Just accept that your repair will not be as good as you could get it done in a dental office and go for it. When you are done, you're going to be so unhappy with the final result that you will just end up taking it to a dentist to get it done over again anyhow. Why don't you skip all the aggravation and just do that in the first place? I would also suggest that the infamous "hairline crack" in the midline of a denture is usually an indication that the denture is rocking from side-to-side as you chew. Your denture needs reline or replacement. Even with a great repair, the crack will reappear if the rocking issue is not addressed.

The best product for denture repair /shaping is a small acrylic nail kit that comes with brush, acrylic liquid and powder. Its what they use in nail salons. You dip brush in acrylic then coat repair area, then dip brush in acrylic and touch tip to powder jar or use denture soft pink powder which either dries in 10 -20 seconds. then if there are any aggravating high spots, file down then sand with 100 grit then 400 grit wet sandpaper under tap dribble. It ends up smooth slick and non noticeable and STONG.I made a 2 inch bar that covers gum on upper denture with dentusoft pink powder and fingernail acrylic. The dang dentist made a denture the had a big opening for 3 front teetth and the upper kept breaking. I m very skillful with my hands and so it was no problem and I have asked people and it doesn t show.I have fixed everything with acrylic. I glued a heavy showerhead to tile with it. I glued a belt buckle catch with it. Neither have failed in years. Its all about sanding first so acrylic sticks. I acrrylic a long thumbnail pointed toward my guitar for thumb pick and whaling on a guitar doesn t break it. Thats my best denture fix and shorts term is a small crack I use superglue until I buy more acrylic. But cracks must soak in with repair fluid AND bridge over crack to be strong so superglue is hard to bridge. Never had damage to gestures from either, showed the bar I made to my dentist friend at the gas station and he just shook his head and said "Oh my God". Yea he missed out on recurring $500.00 bills a kid could do.

Superglue will not hurt you. However, you will mess up the margin es of the crack so that when you are forced to get a proper repair, it will be harder to do. If superglue worked well, we would all use it. It is water soluble and washes out. If you are in an emergency situation, then a quick repair using as little as possible, will get you by. We do use cyano-acrylic in the ;mouth for certain tissue grafts in place of sutures.

I seen something at Walmart that I think fixes dentures. It was in the toothpaste isle.

Yes, you can. The only problem is that the fix usually doesn't hold up for very long, so in the long run, getting it repaired at a dental shop usually works best.

I heard that this is not good. The chemicals are not the same as a dentist would use. I would not do this, I think you will have more problems later on, and so it would not be worth it.
